The mining sector in the Republic of Macedonia plays a significant role in the economy, particularly the metallic ores that are mainly exported as semi-finished products and in that way they improve the exporting orientation of the Republic of Macedonia. This presentation will make a short summary of the current situation in the mines and will give an assessment of its prospects. The presentation encompasses current data about the number of different types of mines, number of employees and the share in the GDP and in the export.
