Critical Resource
Rob Foulkes is an Associate Director at Critical Resource. He leads the team responsible for delivery of CR’s services to clients. Since joining the company in 2008, he has supported executives and investors to understand and manage stakeholder issues at resource assets across Africa, Latin America and Europe. He has also developed substantial experience working with client teams to design or strengthen their internal policies and management systems on political risk and corporate responsibility.
He joined Critical Resource from the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) in London, where he worked on a range of natural-resource and environmental issues. He previously covered environmental and mining news as a journalist in Chile, and has experience working in NGOs and for the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels.

This presentation will highlight brief case studies and assess the applicability in the Balkans of tools such as participatory monitoring, independent advisory panels, and structured dialogue processes.
