Session 7: Panel discussion “The role of Mining in sustainable development of mineral resources in the Circular Economy”

In a world with increasingly constrained resources and many environmental challenges, the balance of supply and demand will shift for key commodities. This will have fundamental impacts on the mining and metals value chain. The pace of regulation is also increasing, for example with the introduction of the Circular Economy Package in the EU. All of this poses many threats and opportunities for miners. Organised in a panel discussion format the final session of the forum will provide a platform for the discussion of the mining prospects in the Western Tethys and changes the governments and the companies need to adapt to ensure sustainable growth.
